Carpentry Reimbursement

Members must be in good standing prior to completion of any exam. Original Receipts and final marks (Result Letter from Alberta Learning) must be presented to the Alberta Carpenter's Training Centre for reimbursement.

Enhancement Courses

Any member who takes an approved course is eligible for reimbursement if they are in good standing prior to enrollment of the course. Most job sites require members to have the CSTS and Basic Skills Program course before they are allowed on-site, so immediate registration is recommended.

In order to process a reimbursement, the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre will require the original receipt and a copy of the certificate. Members will be reimbursed the maximum approved amount of the course excluding the $10.00 registration fee that will be taken off.

When booking a course provided by an outside training provider (i.e. - SAIT, NAIT, Keyano College, etc.) members are required to provide a $210.00 refundable deposit upon time of booking. Upon completion of the requested program the $200.00 will be refunded, minus the $10.00 registration fee. This policy is in effect as of October 22, 2004.

Reimbursement Policy for the Contractor

Contractors setting up an approved course for their employees, who are members of Local 1325 and 2103, must receive approval for each member taking the course prior to the course starting.

After completion, the Training Centre requires copies of the certificates and a copy of the original invoice from the facility that held the course as well as an invoice from the contractor stating the amount we owe. A $10.00 registration fee will be taken off for each member who participated and a payment will be issued.

Many courses can be setup through the Training Centre when there are members who are interested in participating. If you require any information regarding reimbursement, or where you can take an approved course contact the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre.
