Although the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre makes every effort to provide services in accordance with the Course Schedule, we have reserved the right to accommodate any changes that may occur, without further notice. Also the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre will make every effort to ensure that there are enough Scaffolding Courses available to the members, if any course is full and there are numbers to run another course we will do so, on an as needed basis.
Eligibility
To qualify for acceptance to take a course through the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre, you have to be a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 1325 or Local 2103. You will have to be a member in good standing. No services are provided to members suspended, or in arrears.
Fees
There is a $10.00 dollar registration fee that is payable the first day of the course, also if you have not yet purchased the new O.H. & S. Handi-Guide you will have to do so for a fee of $25.00.

Confirmation of Acceptance
Members who have been approved for any Carpentry, Scaffolding, Rigging, Blueprint Reading or any other course that is three days or more in duration, will receive an acceptance letter about one month prior to the commencement date. The letter will include the dates, times and location of the course. Any members who are registered and do not receive any information in the mail, are welcome to contact our office to inquire about the status of their acceptance. BE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS UP TO DATE at your Local Union Hall!!!!
In respect to the large demand for courses, they are expected to fill up quickly. If you are late in registering or if the course is full at the time you register, your name will go on the next available course. If there are no courses available you are welcome to call prior to a course and inquire to see if any member has dropped out. Or you can just show up the day of a course to see if anyone failed to attend.
If you move after registering please inform your Local Union Hall of your new address and phone number, this will enable us to contact you with any information you require to attend the course you registered for.
Attendance
All members who have been accepted are required to attend each and everyday of their course. If you are unable to attend a day within your course you MUST notify your Instructor prior to that day. As mentioned above if you cannot attend your course, and you fail to notify the ACTC will charge you a no show fee.
Certification
After you successfully complete a course and all requirements are met within that course, certificates will be mailed out to you within one month to the address that is on file at your Local Union Office and copies will be put on file both at the Training Centre and your Local Union Hall. If you need a replacement card for any reason there will be a $10.00 fee for each certificate re-issued.
