This training course is one-day and is an end user course complying with CSA standards. The course consists of 4 hours of classroom instruction and 4 hours of training in our simulators. During this course we will use a JLG 450 AJ for the practical’s being done in the field. This will be combined with Virtual Reality Training Simulation on our VR JLG 450 AJ. Competency assessments can be completed by us in a zero-harm environment and can be recorded during the simulations for employers’ proof of competency as requested. This simulator can be used for clients with no experience to very little experience on this type of equipment. This can be done in a risk-free environment, where making mistake is ok, and it will not result in an injury or loss of life due to training. (Course description taken off of ACTI website).

While this basic course can be used as part of a worker's competency assessment, the employer must designate a worker as a "competent person" based on specific tasks assigned.
