ANY TRAINING NOT COMPLETED WITH OUR APPROVED PROVIDERS (SEE ABOVE) OR AT OUR TRAINING CENTRE’S WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REIMBURSEMENT OR COVERED BY THE ALBERTA CARPENTERS TRAINING FUND. FOR A PROVIDER WHO IS NOT ON OUR APPROVED LIST, PLEASE CONTACT THE TRAINING CENTRE.

The following courses are eligible for reimbursement upon PRIOR approval through the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre.

• Basic Welding
• Blue Print Reading
• Carpentry Apprenticeship Tuition Period 1, 2, 3 & 4
• CLR better Supervision
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) Enform (Max $90)
• Concrete & Wood stairs Construction
• Confined Space (max $150)
• CSTS - Construction Safety Training System (max $55)
• Drug & Alcohol Program
• Fall Protection (max $150) As of September 2022
• Fire Extinguisher Training
• Forklift / Zoom Boom Training (Max $150)
• Form Work
• Frame Construction Training
• Ground Disturbance (Max $150)
• H2S Alive* (Max $150)
• Hoisting & Rigging IF THIS IS NOT A UBC RIGGING COURSE THEN YOU MUST OBTAIN PRIOR APPROVAL THROUGH THE ACTC!
• Industrial Construction Crew Supervisor Exam
• ISM Lather
• JM Qualification / Red Seal
• Leadership for Safety Excellence – LSE
• Principles of Health and Safety Management
• Standard First Aid / CPR/ AED* (Max $150)
• Surveying
• Swingstage
• TDG (Roofers only)
• WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Systems)
• WHMIS Train the Trainer

*Please note that the Alberta Carpenters Training Fund does not reimburse or cover costs for Emergency First Aid or H2S Awareness. The list of approved courses will change from time to time. Any member who wishes to take a course not on the list may apply to the Board of Trustees of the Alberta Carpenters Training Fund. ** Registration Fees will be deducted accordingly as per the New Registration Fee Schedule Effective January 1, 2019

Please note that all members must receive prior approval from the Alberta Carpenters Training Centre to be eligible for reimbursement. Upon approval and acceptance into a class, members will be required to pay the corresponding registration fees on the first day of the class.
